Tchekz provides automated tools to help shoppers verify that their online orders match what was originally delivered. Our service is a general e-commerce companion that automates the organisation of purchase history from a wide range of retailers (including, but not limited to, grocery and food delivery platforms, Amazon, and eBay) by processing order notification emails and digital receipts.

3. Personal data we collect

• Contact & Account Data: your email address and account credentials when you register or join our waitlist.
• Order & Shopping Data: data extracted from your digital order notifications and receipts, including retailer names, item descriptions, quantities, unit prices, and total transaction amounts.
• Transaction & Credit Data: your prepaid credit balance and usage history within the app to manage your access to our automated services.
• Technical Data: such as your IP address, device information, and basic usage information.

4. How we collect data

• Directly from you: for example, when you register an account or contact our support team.
• Automated Ingestion: when you authorise Tchekz to connect to your email provider (via OAuth), our system identifies and extracts order and shipping notifications. We never store your email password.
• Automatically: through cookies and internal app logging used for security and troubleshooting.

5. How we use your data

• Service Delivery: to organise your shopping history across multiple retailers and identify discrepancies in deliveries.
• Billing Management: to manage your prepaid credit balance and facilitate secure payments.
• Product Development: to understand how users interact with Tchekz so we can improve our extraction logic and user experience.
• Communications: to send service-related notifications (scan results, account alerts) and, where you have opted in, marketing communications.
• Legal and Compliance: to comply with legal obligations and protect our rights, users, and services.

6. Legal bases for processing (UK & EU)

• Contractual Necessity: to provide the order tracking and verification services you have requested.
• Consent: when you voluntarily connect an email account for automated ingestion or join our waitlist.
• Legitimate Interests: to secure our platform and improve our services, where these interests are not overridden by your rights.

7. Cookies and tracking technologies

8. How we share your data

We do not sell your personal data. We share limited personal data with trusted third-party service providers only where necessary to operate the service. All providers are contractually bound to protect your data in accordance with UK GDPR. Our current processors include:

• Stripe: payment processing. Tchekz does not store your card details — these are handled directly by Stripe.
• Amazon Web Services (AWS): cloud infrastructure (compute, database) and AI-assisted document processing (AWS Textract) used to extract text from email attachments such as PDF receipts.
• Google: OAuth authentication provider for Gmail inbox connections; Google Analytics 4 for anonymous website analytics.
• Microsoft: OAuth authentication provider for Outlook inbox connections.
• Hostinger and other hosting providers: web hosting and email delivery infrastructure.
• Authorities: if we are legally required to disclose data.

9. International transfers

Where personal data is transferred internationally (outside the UK or EU), we take appropriate steps to ensure it is protected, such as using standard contractual clauses or relying on adequacy decisions.

10. Data security

We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption for all data in transit, encrypted storage, and strict access controls. We also utilise Android security flags to prevent unauthorised screen recording or screenshots of your order history within the app. However, no transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

11. Data retention and deletion

We keep your order history for as long as your account is active. You have the right to request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time through App Settings or by contacting us at info@tchekz.com. We will action deletion requests within 30 days.

12. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data; object to or restrict processing; and the right to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact privacy@tchekz.com.

13. Children

Tchekz is not intended for children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under this age.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated by email to registered users. Continued use of the service after notice constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
